Studying the Nature and Causes of Servant Love for AllahLove and longing are like two sides of the same coin. There is no love without longing, and there is no longing if there is no love. A lover must always miss meeting his lover. Conversely, there can be no feeling of longing if that person does not love the person he misses. And, that longing will only be cured by witnessing (musyahadah).This phenomenon of love and longing does not only occur in relationships between humans, but also in the relationship between humans (servants) and their Lord (Allah Taala). In fact, love and longing are far more maximal in the relationship between a servant and his God. Because, human love has limits, while Gods love and longing for His servants has no limits. That is the level of perfection of love.So, it is really lucky for humans who live in love and longing for Allah Taala, the Owner of true Love, because it means he has reached the pinnacle of perfection of love. And he will get medicine for his longing with a perfect musyahadah in the hereafter, even more beautiful to enjoy than heaven and its contents.
